The Office of Block Grant Assistance (OBGA) Disaster Recovery and Special Issues Division (DRSI) is extending the deadline listed in section IV of the Federal Register notice published on August 30, 2019 (84 FR 45843) for the Community Development Block Grant-Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) certifications. The notice requires grantees to submit documentation for the certification of financial controls and procurement processes, and adequate procedures for grant management 60 days prior to the submission of an action plan.
The Department is amending this deadline to 30 days to give grantees more time to accurately address the updated certification checklist documentation that will be uploaded on the HUD Exchange shortly. CDBG-MIT grantees shall now submit the required documentation 30 days prior to the submission of their action plan, as prescribed in section V.A.2.e (84 FR 45843). The Department will make the CDBG-MIT Financial Management and Grant Compliance Certifications available to grantees to meet this deadline in a timely manner.
