The HUD Region 7 Field Office is offering an upcoming training titled Foundation in HUD Environmental Review
, which will be offered from Tuesday, April 23, 2013 - Thursday, April 25, 2013 in Kansas City, KS. The 3-day course provides an understanding of HUD requirements that implement the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and related federal environmental authorities dealing with historic properties, floodplain management, contamination evaluation, wetlands protection, noise abatement, environmental justice, explosive hazards and more.
The course is open to staff of state, tribal, and local governments, as well as planning agencies, grant administrators and consultants who prepare NEPA environmental reviews for HUD-assisted projects. The training is suitable as a refresher for experienced practitioners and an in-depth overview for those newly performing such reviews.

The training is provided without charge and will begin each day at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at 4:00 p.m. The training location is the HUD Regional Office in Kansas City, KS. Attendance is generally limited to two (2) people per organization.
