Dear HOPWA Formula and Competitive Grantees:
In April 2013, HUD released the 2013 Draft HMIS Data Standards for public comment. The Department is very interested in receiving feedback on these data standards from HOPWA formula and competitive grantees – please review and comment on the draft standards that are posted on the OneCPD Resource Exchange
. Grantees should follow the instructions herein in order to comment on the HMIS Data Standards. HUD continues to appreciate all of your efforts in serving the housing and service needs of low-income persons living with HIV/AIDS.

Reminder for HOPWA Formula and Competitive Grantees: 2013 Draft HMIS Data Standards Released: Comments Due June 3, 2013
HUD has released the 2013 Draft HMIS Data Standards
for public comment. Communities have 60 days to submit comments via the Ask A Question (AAQ) portal on the OneCPD Resource Exchange
To ask a question, please use the following instructions:
Go to the Ask A Question page on the OneCPD Resource Exchange.
On the bottom of the page, underneath "Are You an Organization with HUD Policy, Program, or Reporting System Questions,” click on "Ask Your Question."
Complete the Requester Information form that will populate.
Be sure to include “Draft HMIS Data Standards Comments” in the subject line on Step 2 of the AAQ form so that your comment is received.
Once the question is successfully submitted, you will receive an email confirmation.
HUD has developed a 2013 HMIS Data Standards Comment Template
for use when commenting on the Data Standards. This is not required; those who use this template should open a question in AAQ, include “Draft HMIS Data Standards Comments” in the subject line of the comment, and attach the completed template to their question prior to submission.
HUD expects to publish the Final 2013 HMIS Data Standards Notice on HUD Clips later this year. Communities will be notified via listserv when they are published.
