Course Objectives
After completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Describe and discuss significant events in the history of Housing Discrimination
- List the basic provisions of the Federal Fair Housing Act and its implementing regulations
- Explain the roles and responsibilities of fair housing organizations, including Fair Housing Initiative Programs (FHIP) and Fair Housing Assistance Programs (FHAP)
- List similar organizations and network with peers to share experiences and information
Eligibility Requirements
Participants should be an intake officer, investigator, supervisor, or attorney who has 2 years or less of experience working for a FHIP or FHAP.
Registration Information
Submitting a registration request does not confirm enrollment in the course. You will receive an email within 2 business days of submitting your request notifying you if your request was approved, waitlisted, or declined.
If approved to attend the course, you will receive an email from the NFHTA Registrar inviting you to complete Step 2 of the registration process.
