The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of Block Grant Assistance is pleased to announce that IDIS training for CDBG state and entitlement grantees will be offered in five additional locations.
The IDIS training course, designed for CDBG grantee staff, provides information on correctly entering data into the system, using IDIS reports to effectively manage and administer CDBG, and avoiding common mistakes when entering CDBG data in IDIS. The training is offered in a hands-on setting, with participants having the opportunity to learn and practice key steps in adding and reporting accomplishment data for a variety of eligible activities, including housing, public facilities, public services and economic development. This training will cover recent changes to the system that particularly impact CDBG grantees, including those in IDIS Release version 11.4 (November, 2012): audit updates, treatment of multiple addresses for housing rehabilitation activities and lead-based paint abatement. Please note that this training will cover the use of IDIS for the CDBG program only.
The IDIS training will be offered on the following dates at the following locations:
April 16-17 or 18-19, 2013: Los Angeles, CA (two training deliveries)
May 7-8, 2013: Ft. Worth, TX
May 13-14, 2013: Chicago, IL
May 15-16, 2013: Chicago, IL (State grantees only)
May 21-22, 2013: Denver, CO
May 29-30, 2013: Boston, MA
The training will be offered at the HUD field office in each location.
Due to the hands-on nature of this training, capacity is extremely limited. Registration will be limited to one staff member per CDBG grantee and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis
. Notice of registration and the agenda will be sent via the OneCPD Mailing List approximately five weeks prior to each training delivery.
