HUD is extending the deadline for submitting the 2015 Housing Inventory Count (HIC) and Point-in-Time (PIT) count data into HUD’s Homelessness Data Exchange (HDX) web portal to Friday, May 15, 2015, 12:00 AM (midnight) EDT. HUD recognizes that several factors are contributing to delays in compiling the data, including implementation of the 2014 HMIS Data Standards, entering address data for the HIC, and compiling data on youth households. The data from the HIC and PIT count provide critical benchmarks for how many people are homeless and the nature of the inventory that exists throughout the country. HUD is extending the deadline to ensure that the data is as accurate and complete as possible.
Submitting the HIC and the PIT data in HDX is a two-step process, and both steps must be completed by the submission deadline.
- HIC data must be submitted via the HIC Reporting Status page
- PIT data must be submitted via the PIT Reporting Status page
For more information about the HIC and PIT, visit the PIT and HIC Guides, Tools, and Webinars page.
