In the fight to win equal rights for all Americans, advocates for the LGBTQ community are partnering with allies from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. On June 3,2015, HUD GLOBE, the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Affinity Group at HUD, will host a panel discussion on how the federal government and the philanthropic community can collaborate to champion housing equality.
Following an introduction from Deputy Secretary Nani Coloretti, join FHEO Assistant Secretary Gustavo Velasquez and representatives from organizations like Funders for LGBTQ Issues, the Gill Foundation, AIDS United, and the True Colors Fund as they examine strategies for increasing housing access for LGBTQ individuals living with HIV/AIDS, discuss grants, and cover the progress of anti-discrimination laws on the Federal, State, and local levels. Interpreter services will be provided.
