On July 19, 2021, HUD published Notice CPD-21-08: Waivers and Alternative Requirements for the Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) Program Under the CARES Act. This Notice provides important updates and changes to Notice CPD-20-08, published on September 1, 2020.

ESG-CV funds must be used to:

• Prevent, prepare for, and respond to COVID-19 among individuals and families who are homeless or receiving homeless assistance
• Support additional homeless assistance and homelessness prevention activities to mitigate the impacts created by COVID-19

HUD’s Office of Special Needs Assistance Programs (SNAPS) invites homeless assistance providers and their partners to participate in a webinar on Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 1:00 – 2:30 PM EDT. During this webinar, participants will hear HUD experts discuss the updated ESG-CV Notice CPD-21-08.
