Registration is open for Environmental Review Process (Part 58) Training, which will be offered from Tuesday, May 7, 2013 - Thursday, May 9, 2013 in Detroit, MI. Registration will open at 8:30 AM and training sessions will be held from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM each day. The 3-day training will familiarize HUD Entitlement grantees with detailed, step-by-step guidance in carrying out the environmental review function in the administration of CPD grant programs.
Topics will include: Basic Environmental Training / 24 CFR 58, Project Classification / Environmental Determination, Environmental Review Procedures (Environmental Assessment Checklists and Statutory Checklists), Environmental Review Records Content, Reevaluation of the Environmental Finding, and Releases of Funds, Compliance with the Laws and Authorities at 58.5 and 58.6: Historic Properties, Endangered Species, Environmental Justice, Noise, Site Contamination, Wetland Protection, Floodplain Management and National Flood Insurance Program.
This session is ideal for new grantee staff unfamiliar with the HUD Environmental Process or for those who would like a refresher.
This training is free but advanced registration is required by May 1, 2013. No walk-ins will be accepted. Materials will be provided to each participant.
