- Stewards for Affordable Housing for the Future has published a new white paper, Driving Toward the Greater Good, which examines the growing body of research documenting the range and value of non-energy benefits to energy and water efficiency upgrades, above and beyond utility cost savings.
- Dive deeper into EPA's ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager® during a Portfolio Manager Webinar on April 16 at 1:00 PM EDT. Learn about more advanced functionality such as: editing property data; correcting and updating property use details; using the data quality checker; and sharing property data.
- The Lead and Environmental Hazards Association (LEHA) is offering partial registration scholarships for the Healthy Housing Conference (May 14-17, 2019 in Minneapolis), available to people from local and state government agencies, advocacy organizations, and small businesses. New Tools for Your Multifamily Retrofit Toolbox
Learn about several promising new tools to help multifamily owners and managers conceptualize and plan potential retrofits, including: BIT Building, a building performance improvement and recognition program that facilitates incremental upgrades portfolio-wide; and CPC VeriFi, a new online app that allows property owners to calculate estimated cost savings for energy and water efficiency upgrades.
Getting to 100%: Overcoming Barriers to Tenant Data Collection
In this session, multifamily partners will present innovative, outside-the-box strategies for collecting tenant energy consumption data, ranging from how to obtain tenant consent for sharing data to embarking on a portfolio-wide campaign to collect 100% whole property data.

Spotlight on Partner Successes
The American Institute of Architects New Orleans Chapter bestowed a 2018 Design Award to the Pythian, a historic building in downtown New Orleans that was painstakingly restored by Green Coast Enterprises. In addition to providing nearly 70 residential units, the building includes a fresh food market and healthcare and business offices.

CommonBond Communities received a commendation from the City of Saint Paul for completing the 2018 Race to Reduce, the first Energize Saint Paul challenge in which buildings benchmarked their energy use with the aim of increasing energy efficiency and reducing energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions. CommonBond was recognized by the Mayor at a ceremony for successfully benchmarking 12 out of 13 buildings placed into the pilot program.
