NFHTA Fair Housing Forums: Conversations on Emerging Issues

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the National Fair Housing Training Academy (NFHTA) are pleased to celebrate April as National Fair Housing Month with a public forum focusing on preventing and combating housing discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.

Hear from HUD leadership, including HUD Secretary Marcia Fudge, Delaware Senator Sarah McBride, National Fair Housing Alliance (NFHA) President and CEO Lisa Rice, and other national fair housing experts as they discuss how, together, we will all ensure equal access and fair housing for the LGBTQ+ community.

Training Objectives

Forum attendees will be able to:

  • Establish the framework around the Bostock Decision and Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (FHEO) memorandum
  • Appreciate the LGBTQ+ experience and build cultural competencies
  • Leverage resources to prevent and combat discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity
  • Increase awareness and develop networks for fair housing initiatives and partnerships

Who Should Attend?

Forums target Fair Housing Initiatives Program (FHIP) organizations and Fair Housing Assistance Program (FHAP) agencies, but are open to all other interested fair housing partners.
