Rental Housing Underwriting and Finance Description
This course covers basic methods of financial and non-financial rental project analysis, structuring various financing mechanisms in projects, and implications of HOME requirements for rental project finances. Participants in the course will analyze development budgets and pro-formas. The course will focus on combining HOME with other financing mechanisms such as the Low Income Housing Tax Credit, Section 108, and CDBG for rental housing development.
Who Should Attend
This class is appropriate for PJ, CHDO or other HOME-eligible non-profit staff who have passed the HOME Certified Specialist-Regulations exam or have at least two years of HOME rental housing experience.
