Back to School
August is a pivotal time for most families, schools are gearing up for a new year and many families are becoming familiar, for the first time, with insanely early school start times.
Thus far, the earliest scheduled school bus stop we’ve seen posted for the coming school year is 5:40 am (with students expected to be at the stop at least five minutes earlier). Some magnet school programs and other special needs programs have buses scheduled even earlier, some reportedly in the 4 o'clock hour! Clearly, the issue of early school start times is not an issue of bad parenting or lazy students. It is the idea that sleep needs of students can be sacrificed at the altar of cost savings.
If you know of a scheduled school bus stop earlier than 5:40 am, please CONTACT US!
