Time to Share Your HR Talents!
We are searching for a COLPM Fellow to facilitate a 90-minute training session at the Legal Services Corporation (LSC) in Washington, DC, on Tuesday, June 7. LSC plans to provide its staff with a basic overview and update on industry standards and practices related to human resources subjects such as hiring, supervision, promotion, performance management, personnel policy development, and harassment prevention.
This session will take the form of a "train the trainer" event, delivered to the staff at LSC headquarters who are responsible for running program quality assessments when they visit legal aid offices funded by LSC. To determine whether a program is maintaining effective human resources administration practices and the degree of its compliance with applicable laws, the staff conducting the assessments use LSC's Performance Criteria compiled by LSC's Office of Program Performance. Specific details of the assessment process are noted under the Human Resources Administration heading at page 40 of this link: LSC Performance Criteria.
The coordinator for this session, as well as other members of the training committee, are happy to talk with interested Fellows. For more information, contact:
