Trouble in Paradise

Well, sorta. Ohio State still holds the top spot in college football. But try this on for size: The defending national champs and #1 team in the country is currently ranked #75 in total offense.

Coach Urban Meyer is sticking by his man Cardale Jones at quarterback (Cue: “He is definitely the guy, unless he’s not” ), but backup J.T. Barrett has pulled a lot of weight so far. Stay tuned…

Down Goes the Empire

Ole Miss took down Alabama for the second year in a row, and it was salty for the Tide. Ole Miss played better, cleaner, and a bit luckier.  Last year, Alabama fought its way back into the national championship playoff despite the one loss to Ole Miss.  Will the Empire strike back?

Rhinestone Cowboy

To the NFL..Dallas Cowboys' sparkling QB Tony Romo injured his collarbone and is out for at least 7 games. (Evidently super athletes heal like super heroes.)  Enter the new starting wrangler Brandon Weeden (former Oklahoma State QB), but the Cowboys have also added Matt Cassel juuuuuust in case.

Yogi Berra, NY Yankees baseball legend passed away at the age of 90.  The Catcher wore #8, was an 18-time All-Star, played in 14 World Series and won 10 of them.  He was also famous for expressions like “When you come to a fork in the road, take it.”  USA Today put together our  50 favorite Yogi quotes.
