Another season is coming to a close. We have a few plant pulling days scheduled in Portage and Kalamazoo. Please sign up to volunteer if you can join us. People helping on these days can take plants home so bring containers and shovels to dig and take what you'd like. We are also looking for a few current/former Master Gardeners with plant identification knowledge to help us know what to/what not to pull (since CJ can't be everywhere at once). More details are in SignUp Genius.
PORTAGE - Saturday, October 2, 9 am: Pull flower beds
KALAMAZOO - Monday, October 4, 9 am: Pull flower beds, remove topiaries and collect stakes
KALAMAZOO - Tuesday, October 5, 9 am: Empty containers and flower tree pots
And finally, our gratitude is deep for volunteers and city staff who help us throughout the season. We invite you to join us on Thursday, September 30 to celebrate all of your efforts and to meet others as dedicated as you. The gathering will be at Bronson Park from 5-7 pm (parking is free at meters after 5 pm). Please RSVP by Monday, September 27 so we can pre-order box lunches. Bring a portable chair and your own beverage.
Thank you, donors, volunteers, and friends for all of the support this year! Looking forward to celebrating with you soon!
