As we head into spring, the "Meeting Season" for both NCAR and NAR really picks up. While spring takes a lot out of all of you because of increased needs from prospective clients, spring also is the time that a lot of your fellow REALTORS are heavily involved in volunteer activities on your behalf. One of your former Presidents, Paul McGill, has really stepped up to the plate in 2013. Paul has agreed to serve on Budget and Finance, Service Corp & N C Homeowners Alliance Board at NCAR. Why does he do it? He believes that being a REALTOR means not just getting what you can out of your membership dues, but giving back to the organization as well. Next time you see Paul, ask him how you can get involved. He will tell you, "You'll be glad you did, by golly!" Thanks, Paul, for all you do to give back!
March Madness is right! We have many opportunities for you to be engaged and involved this month. Make sure you read on and attend at least one of our upcoming events.
Your Board of Directors, Grievance and Professional Standards committees took their required Professional Standards training at the end of February. Sadly, as our market continues to pick up and improve we will also receive more ethics phone calls and complaints. Remember that 2013 marks the 100th Anniversary of the REALTOR Code of Ethics. You should be proud that you belong to a professional organization that upholds you to these articles. Click here for the REALTOR Code of Ethics.
