While zipForm® Standard is no longer a benefit to members, they are still able to access their account online at www.zipFormPlus.com. All transactions (including old and current ones) should be on the members zipForm® Plus account to access, and they should still be able to do all, if not more, of the same functions they did in Standard.

Envisioning Our Future
As we celebrate the past 100 Years of WSRAR, it is also incumbent upon us to lead the way as we start our second 100 years of organized real estate in the Winston-Salem area.
What will the real estate profession look like 5, 10, 25 or 100 years down the road? What decisions do we need to be making today to make sure our members are well positioned for the changes ahead? How will technology work for us or against us over the next few decades? What can WSRAR be doing to lead the way and influence the future of real estate and our profession?
Your Board of Directors discuss strategic initiatives at each of our meetings. Over the next few months we will have special strategic planning meetings and will update our strategic plan. One question that often comes up is “what will our facilities needs be in the coming years?” We will soon have the largest membership we have ever had and we have plans for continued growth. We currently have to go off-site for many of our functions. As you know, at the end of last year we acquired the large building and lot next door to our WSRAR offices. What is our best use for that property?
On October 18th at 11:00 a.m. we will have a Visioning Session at WSRAR to discuss these questions. This will also be a topic at the WSRAR Principals Meeting on October 19th at 1 p.m. at Brookstown Inn. I hope you will join us for these events and share your thoughts and ideas about our future. Transformation: The New Normal
“WSRAR – 100 and Counting.”
First, thank you for your generous support in a time of need for those who were devastated by the recent disasters across the country. Your selfless and sacrificial giving has made a tremendous difference in the lives of so many.
Transformation IS the new normal!
The old adage “if you’re not growing, you’re dying” is more true in today’s business environment than perhaps any other time in history. WSRAR is experiencing record growth more than anytime in its 100 years of service...and, counting! What an accomplishment! There is still more to come.
A recent Harvard study revealed that the most successful transformations share five (5) common characteristics and strategies:
Transformational thinkers exist in leadership (thinking outside of the”group-think” bubble)
Use culture change to drive engagement (embrace change to drive engagement)
Strategically pursue two separate journeys (strengthen /enhance legacy values and develop and employ innovative strategies to achieve success)
Communicate positive narratives about the future (the sky isn’t falling—the sky is the limit!. It’s all about your perception)
Develop a roadmap before disruption takes hold (there is no time to waste in getting started. Develop and implement an effective transformation plan)
The big question we all should ask: Are we redefining who we are and what we do in order to foster and accommodate present and future growth and development?
The multitude of changes occurring in the industry that have a potential impact on our ability to succeed are growing in number. Our collective focus must be on listening, learning, analyzing, and utilizing information to explore strategic opportunities that allows us to take important calculated risks. We must set out a plan to meet the demands and challenges through the strengthening of our legacy values and incorporation of new and innovative strategies. This is a basic formula for our success.
In the coming weeks, WSRAR Leadership and Staff will ask for your participation in an exercise to assist in transforming your association—to take a leap with us to ensure a continuation of professionalism and quality that will span the next 100 years. When we are intentional in our efforts to lead, engage, affirm, and promote the many amazing aspects of the real estate industry, we will then realize our full potential as a whole.

Contributions are not deductible for income tax purposes. Contributions to RPAC are voluntary and are used for political purposes. You may contribute more or less than the suggested amount. You may refuse to contribute without reprisal and the National Association of REALTORS® or any of its state associations or local boards will not favor or disfavor any member because of the amount contributed. 70% of each contribution is used by your state PAC to support state and local political candidates. Until your state PAC reaches its RPAC goal 30% is sent to National RPAC to support federal candidates and is charged against your limits under 2 U.S.C. 441a; after the state PAC reaches its RPAC goal it may elect to retain your entire contribution for use in supporting state and local candidates.
