Wow- January came and went quickly. During the end of January I attended the NCAR Inaugural and Meetings as well as Vision Quest. I have one word to describe how I felt at those meetings...PROUD! I was so proud of our WSRAR members for several reasons. We were recognized as being one of the top 4 Associations in 2012 for meeting and exceeding our RPAC goal, our member Lou Baldwin was being inducted as the Immediate Past President after serving the state last year and Treasure Faircloth is serving the second year of her term as the NCAR Treasurer. Then I started to look around and realized how many of our members are serving at the state level this year.  Thank you to Lou Baldwin, George Bell, Treasure Faircloth, Kristina Farrell, Richard Miller, Brad Millsaps, Curtis Leonard, Stephen Long, Phil Rector, Mark Saunders and Wendy Taylor.  Thank you all for representing us at the state level.

We will need all of you to get involved as we move forward with our Legislative agenda. A number of issues will be addressed during the 2013-2014 Legislative Session including:
  1. Tax Reform
  2. NC Real Estate Commission Legislative Changes
  3. NC Appraisal Board Legislative Changes
  4. Regulatory Reform
  5. Home Inspector Licensure Board Rule Changes
We will keep you informed and engaged on the issues.

YPN in 2013
Looking back at 2012, I can't help but be proud to see just how far the WSRAR YPN group has come. It's hard to believe that a few short years ago; YPN was just an idea that Stephen Long decided WSRAR needed. Then the small founding group of young, like minded, REALTORS® came together to help create YPN in our market. A few of the many accomplishments of our YPN chapter more
