Reaching for Net Zero: Commercial Buildings in Michigan

Date:                          September 18, 2019
Time:                         8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Location:                  The Jam Handy, 2900 E Grand Blvd, Detroit, MI 48202

This event will bring together solar contractors, energy efficiency contractors, architects, developers, building owners and renewable energy advocates to learn about this new market trend on how buildings can be designed or redesigned to save and produce the energy it needs to operate.  The conference will cover how different types of buildings (churches, office buildings, multi-family buildings, etc.) can be retrofitted or be designed at the outset, to be ‘Zero-Net Energy’ or close to it.

The conference will close with a panel on the Future of Net Zero Energy from Buildings to Cities including Dr. Brandy Brown, Climate and Energy Advisor for the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes & Energy and City of Detroit Councilman Scott Benson and Chairman of the Detroit City Council Green Task Force.  The registration fee is $35 and covers breakfast and lunch.
