2016 Winner's Tour Wrap Up

Suyeon's Winner's Tour

Suyeon says of the Tour: "What an honour and a blessing to have been able to receive this one-in-a-lifetime opportunity - it was the perfect test of endurance, improvement and concentration - precisely what one needs to learn in the profession, and there could have been no better setting to do this in."
Suyeon Kang and Stephen De Pledge in Queenstown.
The 2016 Winner's Tour was a part of the first prize package Suyeon scooped up last year in the 2015 Michael Hill International Violin Competition.  The public also awarded her the Audience Prize as well and it's easy to understand why - she is a consummate communicator - warm, generous, interesting.  Stephen says of her approach that she's spontaneous - every performance was imaginative - she's the perfect combination of focus and freedom.

Full tour details, photos, reviews and even audio files of performances can be found here.  Be sure to read and enjoy Suyeon's own reflections.
