Only one of us is an herbivore

Back from our annual family getaway to Wisconsin, where I again competed in the Dairy Dash 5K race at the Shawano County “Brunch on the Farm” event. Just like last year, I lost to a teenager, gratefully accepted my runner-up prize of cheese curds, and posed for a picture with a cow mascot.

The difference this year is that I don’t eat dairy — Diane and I have been full-on vegan for 12 months. Hm, you may ask, so why run in a race for an industry whose products I avoid? Because racing! Also, the grandkids loved the cheese curds.

Below is all the new stuff. Thanks for reading!
