As AAPI are being spat, hit, and killed during Covid-19, we forge solidarity with black people who have endured much suffering and oppression solely based on skin color. In protest against the tactics of “divide and conquer,” we pledge solidarity among people of color to make America humane.
-Rev. Dr. Young Lee Hertig

ChristianityNext Issue #5 is here!
"ChristianityNext Winter 2021 devotes to featuring Trauma and Resilience in order to address the impact of the year 2020. Compounded by multiple pandemics, the year 2020 has inflicted trauma from the loss of more than 400,000 lives, jobs, basic needs of foods and shelter, and withering trust in democracy. Thus, in this issue, we seek to provide resources on navigating: trauma from transplants and dislocation, suicide, double minority identity, and anti-Asian American assaults"
Individual copies, printed and digital format, are available for purchase here! We also offer institutional subscriptions, which is a great way to support to ChristianityNext's work! We are now enrolled in EPSCO's database! For inquiries on Institutional Subscriptions, please email: info@isaacweb.org
We would like to thank Howard for his contribution as designer & copyeditor, and DJ's contribution as technical & publishing support!

Public and Political Theology for the Asian American Church
The next issue of ChristianityNext will be out in Winter 2022 and will focus on Public and Political Theology for the Asian American Church. Experiencing the recent Anti-Asian COVID hate and racism, Black Lives Matter protests for racial justice, White Christian Nationalism and insurrection at the Capitol, calls for taking Asian American Christianity to the public square is stronger than ever.
Possible topics may include, but not limited to: faith and politics, biblical foundation for prophetic preaching and witness, economic, racial and gender justice and equity. Activists, researchers, educators, and ministry leaders are invited to consider submitting an abstract proposal.

For an effort of moving mountains in implementing gender equality and equity in Asian American Churches, we began a fundraising campaign. The initial goal is $100,00. Here are ways we believe we can reach the goal by the end of the year 2021:
- 100 people to donate $25/month x 12 months = $30,000
- 30 people to donate $100/month x 12 months = $36,000
- 10 people to donate $50/month x 12 months = $6,000
- 6 people to donate $2,000/year = $12,000
- 4 people to donate $4,000/year = $16,000
The fuller representation and opportunities for women ministers to serve the body of Christ will make churches to thrive once again and bear witnesses of the authentic gospel. Would you consider investing in gifted women ministers for the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12)?
