There will be a Social this Thursday, June 4, starting at 5:00pm.
Lisa Hickman will be preparing Grilled Hot Dogs, Brats and Onions for dinner this week. We will also be providing individually wrapped snack items such as nuts, cheese, chips, etc.
At this time, no one has volunteered to be Bar Host but we are sure that someone will step forward to serve wine, beer and common mixed drinks.
There are obvious risks to meeting indoors for prolonged periods prior to a COVID-19 vaccine or treatment. The decision to attend is the responsibility of each individual attendee. JYC assumes no liability for possible exposure and any resultant illness.
We will space tables at 6 or more feet apart and provide hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes. If you are sick or you have a vulnerability, please stay home. If you wish to wear face covering, feel free to do so. Do not expect all attendees or hosts to be wearing face covering.
If weather conditions permit, we hope to use the deck.
Drink chips are $3.00 each or 4 for $10.00. Dinner will be $10.00. Prices include sales tax.

| If you are not a Juneau Yacht Club member but are interested in joining the Club, please come to one of our Thursday evening Socials as a guest of a member or come and introduce yourself to any Board member. We will be glad to make you our guest, show you around and discuss the benefits of joining. Under our Club Liquor License, non-members are not allowed to purchase alcoholic beverages but your host may treat you and you are welcome to join us for dinner if a dinner is being served. |

For the first time since mid March, there was a Social last Thursday, May 28. Jerry Burnett and Lisa Hickman volunteered to be Bar Hosts and Barbara Burnett handled the cash.
There were a total of 18 members and guests enjoying beverages and snacks. The weather was good enough to encourage a few to use the deck as well.

Author and stand-up comedian Glenn Patron generously offered to do a presentation of his humorous book, "The Accidental Captain" to the Juneau Yacht Club in mid June but, unfortunately, Commodore Donek had to turn down the offer due to a previously scheduled Club rental that Saturday as well as Coronavirus travel restrictions.
