Buggy Bootcamp - a cheeky sales pitch, merchandise, events and yummy lasagne!
Hi Ladies,

We hope this finds you all well and enjoying the summer-esque weather.  Please take two minutes to read on as there is lots going on in the world of Buggy Bootcamp to update you on at the mo!
 
Firstly, we hope that you have now all seen our brand new website. If not, please check it out and see what has been keeping me busy for the last few weeks between bootcamps! Some of you also feature in the pictures - thanks again for working so hard and looking so good at the photo-shoot.
 
We also have a couple of events coming up – a Mum focused health and well-being information evening on the 7th May and the Mother’s Day Classic 4km or 8km race on 12th May. More details are below – all welcome, come and join in the fun!

And lastly – we know that as bub gets older or as you go back to work, Buggy Bootcamp becomes harder to fit in to your schedules. So, just in case any of you are looking for some exercise options away from your little one, we thought we should officially tell you all about our other little non-buggy business ventures!

As well as Buggy Bootcamp, I also own OzSquad and Sarah owns Pure Fitness. OzSquad offers group outdoor bootcamps and boxing classes, personal training sessions and Learn to Run courses.

Come along to Carly’s early morning bootcamps to get faster, stronger, fitter and leaner.  You will meet new friends and may even learn that burpees before breakfast can be fun. Honest! Every OzSquad group session is guaranteed to be an all over body work-out and Carly seeks high and low to discover new steps, hills and patches of grass that you never even knew existed. Variety is the spice of life after all!

Alternatively, why not sign up for a six week beginners Learn to Run course to find out about correct running form, breathing techniques and how to increase your distance safely. Carly promises to get you from the couch to the end of that fun run you have always wanted to enter, and enjoy it! The next course starts on Monday 6th May.

Pure Fitness Manly has been operating in Manly since 2008 and each year goes from strength to strength (no pun intended!). 

We offer 10 group training sessions each week, have experienced and friendly trainers and are passionate about you and helping you achieve your goals, whatever they may be. Our sessions are varied and include boxing, intervals, strength, long cardio runs, beach circuits and cross fit challenge.

This variety helps keep you motivated and stay fitter by challenging your body in different ways.

Low calorie, healthy and delicious lasagne recipe
 
300g lean beef mince
2 garlic cloves
3 large carrots, 3 large onions
1 tin tomatoes, 1 jar passata
125g ricotta
Two large handfuls of baby spinach
Fresh basil and a handful of parmesan
Tomato paste and water (for top layer)
Lasagne sheets
Preheat oven to 180C

Soften onion, garlic and carrot over a medium-high heat. Add the mince and fry until brown.  Add tomatoes and passata, heat until boiling and reduce heat. Simmer for 30 minutes or until thickened.

Take the meat mixture off the heat and stir in the spinach and ricotta.  Layer the meat mixture and lasagne sheets evenly.  Combine the basil with the tomato paste and a little water to cover the top lasagne sheet.

Bake for 30 minutes, sprinkle the parmesan and dollop any remaining ricotta on the top and serve with a crisp green salad.

A healthy, filling dinner to serve a hungry crowd! Buon appetito!

The first of our health and well-being seminars with a post natal focus. At Buggy Bootcamp we want you to be informed of the local services available to you as a Mum and to have a night off occasionally whilst hopefully learning something new!

The topics at this seminar will include finding life balance for Mum, pre-conception health, weight loss (target that post baby belly!), protecting the pelvic floor and PCOS.

We have a Buggy Bootcamp contingent running the 4km and the 8km in the Domain on May 12th.

Bring your buggy, bring your family and come join us in raising money for Breast Cancer Research.

Thursday  location change

Due to Manly Council restrictions, the Thursday bootcamp is now held in Kierle Park - just across Pittwater Road from Manly Lagoon, next to the tennis courts.

Lots of shade, lots of parking, lots of football fields for me to make you run around!
 
About Us

Buggy Bootcamp is a unique and exciting post natal fitness business based in Manly that offers convenient training for new mums. You bring your bub in their buggy with you so there is no need to pay extra for a creche or organise child minding. This not only keeps costs down, but it gives mum a sense of ease as she has her baby near her the whole time.

All of our classes are designed to get Mum back into shape – each session is different but we include strength work for toning and to keep strong for lifting baby, cardio and boxing to keep you fit fo running around all day and core and pelvic exercises to get you back into pre-natal shape.
