West Hyattsville Queens Chapel Sector Plan
Virtual Kickoff this Saturday!

Please join us this Saturday, October 17th at 10:30am to virtually kickoff the West Hyattsville Queens Chapel Sector Plan! 

This will be the first public opportunity to learn about and have your voice heard for the creation of this new sector plan for the areas surrounding the West Hyattsville Metro station, including portions of Avondale, Chillum, Hyattsville, Mount Rainier, and Brentwood. 

As long-range planning documents, sector plans are powerful tools in establishing a comprehensive vision for a community. Similar to the Gateway Arts Sector Plan from 2004, the West Hyattsville Queens Chapel Sector Plan will outline the goals, objectives and recommendations related to environmental infrastructure, transportation systems, public facilities, economic development, urban design, historic preservation, and arts and cultural heritage. Your input on these issue areas will be critical towards developing a thorough and inclusive plan.

COVID-19 Relief Grants
Still Available Through End of November!

COVID-19 Relief Assistance Grants of $1,500 are still available to eligible Hyattsville residents who need financial assistance due to economic displacement resulting from public health measures taken in response to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Applicants must live within municipal Hyattsville; must provide verifiable proof of hardship; and cannot have been “underwater” on mortgage or late on rent prior to March 5, 2020. Click HERE to verify you Hyattsville residency.
