Fish 2.0 - Where Seafood Businesses and Investors Connect

Fish 2.0 2017 Application Period Opens in January

The global Fish 2.0 business competition, which brings investors and entrepreneurs together to grow the global sustainable seafood sector, will launch in just a few weeks. The 2017 competition will feature two global thematic tracks and five regional tracks. We are finalizing some of the tracks and eligibility guidelines, and look forward to sharing all the details with you soon.


Seeking Innovative Seafood Ventures in
New England and Southeast Asia

 

Applications are now open for free regional workshops in these areas. 

Participants will learn how to communicate about their business in a way that attracts interest, practice pitching to investors and buyers, and receive advice on integrating social and environmental sustainability into their business strategy. They'll also begin building their own networks and get a head start on applying to the 2017 competition. Please spread the work - or apply yourself! 

New England Regional Workshop 

  • Location: Salem State University, MA
  • Dates: February 6-8, 2017
  • Apply by January 6, 2017

Southeast Asia Regional Workshop 

  • Location: Bangkok, Thailand
  • Dates: February 27-March 2, 2017
  • Apply by January 11, 2017

  • Open to ventures based in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar

Regional workshops are free to attend but space is limited. You must apply for an invitation. Visit the Fish 2.0 website for more details.

25 Promising Seafood Ventures Benefitted from
Pacific Islands Workshop 

Entrepreneurs from throughout the Pacific Islands attended our first regional workshop, held in Fiji last month, and gave high marks to the training on how to talk with investors. Ventures ranged from aquaculture innovators to fishing business owners working on developing new value-added products and market channels for islanders.
