Three Steps to Being a Better Ally to People Who Are Intersex
Intersex Day of Solidarity was 11/8: Check out some resources on how to be a great Intersex ally:
  1. Learn: Learn about Intersex Day of Solidarity and some actions that are being taken around the world. Check out InterACT Advocates to learn more about the Intersex community and some of the advocacy that takes place every day.
  2. Watch: Watch the October 21st episode of Something To Talk About Live! featuring Intersex advocates Ori and Kristina Turner. Also take a look at What The +?: Understanding and Supporting Expansive LGBTQ+ Identities
  3. Share: Follow Intersex organizations like InterACT and Intersex Justice Project on social media, and use hashtag #4intersex. Take a look at some graphics from InterACT that you can use to frame your messages on social media.
Veteran's Day was 11/11:
A special Veteran's Day episode of Something to Talk About Live! This week, "A decade after ‘don’t ask, don’t tell,” LGBTQ veterans say they still feel the effects," from the Washington Post, by writer Casey Parks
Two special guests: Retired Colonel Patsy Thomson and Barbara Brass, whose story is featured in the documentary Surviving the Silence.

Safe Zone Signage Project
GSAFE invites LGBTQ+ folks and allies to submit a brief video or written statement (1-3 sentences) about what seeing LGBTQ+ inclusive signs in K-12 schools means to you.
Our project aims to capture the importance of LGBTQ+ inclusive signage and symbols (i.e. Safe Zone signs, pride flags, rainbows etc.) by sharing your your stories and voices across social media and with decision makers across the state of Wisconsin.
Please submit a short statement about what you think/feel/know when you see LGBTQ+ inclusive signage and symbols. Check out our "How To" document here. If you are uncomfortable submitting a video statement, we are happy to include your statement in written format. 
If you are under 18 and would like to submit a video response, please have a parent or guardian fill out the following permission form:

UWGB Campus Cupboard and Closet
The UWGB Campus Cupboard and Closet is a service that provides food, cleaning, clothing, kitchen and some household items to students who need a little support to help them as they complete their educational goals, or to not take on a second or third job so they can focus on their studies. An average of 45 students use the Cupboard each semester. Some of the students have unusual expenses in which they need support one time, others have limited or no family support and need food, cleaning or school supplies because they have $5 left in their savings after buying gasoline or bus tickets to get to work. Each story is different, but the need is present.
Cyber Works
Is your string of holiday lights half lit? Do you want to help keep exercise equipment, office furniture, farm equipment, florescent light bulbs, rechargeable batteries and household batteries out of landfills?  Cyber Works in Green Bay will take these items and more!

PFLAG Door County
PFLAG Door County meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. at
at Sturgeon Bay Library, located at 107 South 4th Avenue, Sturgeon Bay. Membership dues $20.00 per household, but not required to attend meetings and participate. For more information: or 920-421-8814

Green Bay

Conversation Cafe
All meetings will continue to be held on Fridays, from approximately 11:30 to 1:00 pm.  There are no fees, and no requirement to purchase food or drinks.  We are informal, and discuss news, weather, books, movies, personal stories, and even religion and politics! Meeting at four different places:
- First Friday at the ARBY's on Shawano Ave (Green Bay). 
- Second Friday at BAY FAMILY RESTAURANT (Green Bay). 
- Third Friday at KRESS LIBRARY on N Broadway (DePere). During the Summer months/early Fall we can meet outside in the gazebo and share treats.
- Fourth Friday at BAY FAMILY RESTAURANT (Green Bay)
- Fifth Friday we meet back at the KRESS LIBRARY (DePere).

Adult-Gay/Straight Alliance of Green Bay 
A-GSA, Adult Gay/Straight Alliance of Green Bay, is a new advocacy group located in Green Bay for families and friends of persons who identify as GLBT. 
A-GSA provides opportunities for dialogue about topics related to sexual orientation. All sessions are respectful, nonjudgmental, and strictly confidential. A-GSA charges no fees. All are welcome. 
Meetings are 6:30-8:00 pm, second Tuesday of the month (September through May)

PFLAG Manitowoc County
PFLAG Manitowoc County meets the 1st Thursday of the month from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the St. James Church, 434 N. 8th 920-374-3524 (374-FLAG) There is also a weekly gathering every Monday at the Unitarian Universalist Church on the corner of N. 7th and Park St. in Manitowoc of members of the local LGBTQ community from 6 – 8 pm.  All are welcome to attend.

Straight Spouse Group 
PFLAG Madison meets the 3rd Sunday every month except June, July, and August, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

PFLAG Milwaukee meets on the 3rd Sunday each month, August thru May, and the 4th Sunday in June from 5:00 to 7:15pm, at Martin Luther Church, 9235 W. Bluemound Road, Wauwatosa WI.  Do not meet in July. See the following for more information:

LGBTQ+ support group for Sheboygan County –  They will meet on the second Thursday of each month at 7 pm at the Lakeshore Community Health Center, 1721 Saemann Ave. in the community room. Pass the word!
