             NEWSLETTER & SCHEDULE
April 27th, 2015
Dear Friends:

I hope that everyone has had a great week.  I'm psyched to be going on the road with a group that is special to me - some of my very oldest friends and musical partners:  Grant Stewart on the tenor sax, Peter Bernstein on the guitar and Joe Magnarelli on trumpet.  We'll be flying into Seattle to play at a couple of cool venues there, one called Boxley's and another called Tula's.  Then we make our way up into Vancouver and do some concerts and workshops.  I want to give a shout out to my man Cory Weeds who has been tirelessly working on organizing jazz events both in Vancouver and New York.  Also to my friend Danny Kolke, who runs Boxley's and to Thomas Marriott and Matt Jorgensen who have organized the music for Tula's.  It's inspiring to know that there's still a strong network of musicians and promoters putting together tours and concerts and bringing the music around to the people.  I look forward to the week ahead and to spending some time on the West Coast.

Here's in New York City, feels like the weather is finally staying put for some spring.  We got a really strong week ahead at both Mezzrow and Smalls.  I want to remind everyone that if you pay a cover at Mezzrow you also get a pass to Smalls for the same night.  If you want to experience both clubs this is a great way to go.

I wish everyone the best and look forward to seeing you at our venues.

Peace,

Spike

NOW: A cover paid at Mezzrow also gets you admission to Smalls.
