East Africa Children's Hope - Fall 2012

Classrooms, Solar Panels, Desks, Books and More!

Thanks to generous donors like you, East Africa Children's Hope has raised more than $13,000 so far in 2012! The funds will be used for infrastructure and educational needs at the Upendo Orphanage and the Good Hope Initiative. These donations will provide:

  • Funds to complete the construction of a new dormitory at Upendo
  • Two classrooms at the Good Hope Initiative
  • Two water tanks
  • Eight solar panels
  • Six months pay for three teachers and a cook
  • Meals for a year for the students
  • 50 desks
  • Textbooks and school supplies

We are very excited to help the Upendo students and the children at the Good Hope start off their school year with this great news. The staff at both organizations promised to send us pictures of the progress and we will post those on Facebook and Twitter.

EACH in Photos: Evelyn Nakakande

Every quarter, we will be posting stories on Facebook and our website about the people involved with East Africa Children's Hope, from the kids we support to staff member visits to Africa.

This summer, we highlighted Evelyn Nakakande, aged 6, who was born with part of her intestine outside of her body. Check out her story and how the Good Hope Initiative and EACH helped save her life.

Stay Tuned!

We will be hosting events (yoga, gift wrapping & more) in the upcoming months!

Race for a Cause

EACH was recently accepted as a NYC Triathlon charity partner.  E-mail us if you are interested in a guaranteed entry and racing with us!
