26 July 2020, Seventh Sunday after Trinity

THIS SUNDAY

9am Holy Communion (without music)
11am Holy Communion (which will be live streamed)
Full order of service

Leader and president: The Chaplain
Preacher: Josh Cleaver

People are required to wear masks and keep social distance. If you visit the book shop, please wear gloves.
This Sunday we say goodbye to Josh, Nina, Joni, Zeb and Tallulah, although sadly Nina may not be able to be in church, because she needs to be particularly careful of her health in the current crisis. They will be leaving to return to the UK, where Josh will begin training to become a priest in the Church of England. It has been a great joy to have them with us for the last 18 months, and for all that they have given us - particularly for Josh in his role as ministry assistant. Their example of faithfulness to God and willingness to take Him at his word, of service and obedience and of trust in His provision is inspirational. We pray for them as they expect an addition to the family in November!

St Andrew's Sunday school at home

Parents may use the creche area, but they must supervise their children. There will be no Sunday school group, but each week we will provide material which families might like to use - either in church (sheets will be available) or at home. With thanks to Rachel Culbertson and Alison Rogers

Tricky Jacob finally learns what it feels like to be tricked himself in today’s story. I hope you enjoy this week’s lesson and I hope that no matter who you are, you’ll know that you are always wanted in our group, in our church, and by God! He is such a loving protector and help for all of us.

CONFIRMATION
We start our next confirmation group on September 20th. It will meet after the 11am service (although some sessions may be by zoom).
If you are interested in finding out more about the Christian faith, about Anglicanism, and how to find faith and to grow in your faith, then this is for you.
We do not know when our next service of confirmation will be. That depends on when we are able to have a Bishop come and visit
Click here if you would like to find out more about confirmation
READING IN CHURCH AND LEADING INTERCESSIONS

If you are already on the rota for welcoming, reading or leading intercessions, the sign up sheet is now available here.
We need people to welcome, do the tech stuff, read one of the lessons and lead the intercessions at both the 9am and 11am service.
if you are currently not on the rotas, and would like to be on the rota, please email Giles

GIVING TO ST ANDREW'S

THANK YOU very much to those who have given via yandex or in other ways.

At the moment we have no income coming in from concerts or events, and are dependent for everything on your donations. You can give on Sundays, or via the chaplain, or direct at https://moscowanglican.org/roubles/

If you are based overseas and would like to support our work, please visit https://moscowanglican.org/donate/
INSTRUCTIONS
If you would like to give through Yandex on our website, you will need to fill in the form on the first page, stating how much you would like to give, your phone number, name (if you wish), citizenship, email address, and then say what you would like the donation to be used for. Please do write in English or Russian that it is a Donation and that VAT does not apply. You can copy and paste the Russian words in quotation marks if you wish.
The only boxes that you need to fill in are the amount you would like to give, your telephone number, and we would ask you to state that this is a donation and that VAT does not apply.
You then press the last button and will be taken to the Yandex payment page.
This is what the Yandex payment page looks like. In this example, the donor has said above that they would like to give 1000 roubles. You can either pay by bank card, yandex money or even via Sperbank telephone.

Please note that Yandex take a commission of 2.8%, so if you are giving a large sum, do get in touch with us to see if there are other ways of donating.

PRAYER THIS WEEK

The special prayer for this week:
Generous God,
you give us gifts and make them grow:
though our faith is small as mustard seed,
make it grow to your glory
and the flourishing of your kingdom;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

- We give thanks for Josh, Nina, Joni, Zeb and Tallulah, and pray for them as they leave for the UK this week. Pray that their preparations for departure are easy, that their time of quarantine back in the UK will go smoothly, and that they will be able to furnish and equip their new home. Pray for the children to quickly settle in.

- Continue to pray for those in need and for those who grieve. We pray particularly for Emma-Marie that her broken hand will fully recover.
