ST ANDREWS' SUNDAY SCHOOL AT HOME
We do not plan to resume Sunday school in the next few weeks, but will provide sheets and a take away bag (with craft and snack) to occupy children during the service, and we will also try to involve them a bit in the services. We will see how the start of term goes before making any decisions on restarting Sunday school in church.
There is, however, an area for small children in the chapter room (the room next to the church), but they need to be accompanied and we ask you to bring toys along with you.
What gets wet when it is drying?
It is a bit of riddle, and if you want to find the answer, read further below!
But Jesus is asked a question and he replies with a riddle: and it is all about who people think that he is.
You can read the story here in the Bible (Matthew 21.23-25) and learn a bit more at
On Sunday at 3:30pm (5:30pm Moscow time), Olga Fabrikant-Burke will be ordained Deacon in Ely Cathedral, to serve at St Benedicts church and Trinity College, Cambridge. The service will be live streamed on youtube. Olga was a former member of St Andrew's.
Today we begin our confirmation group. It will meet after the 11am service (although some sessions may be by zoom). If you are interested in finding out more about the Christian faith, about Anglicanism, and how to find faith and to grow in your faith, then this is for you.
We do not know when our next service of confirmation will be. This will depend on when a Bishop is able to visit Moscow. Click here if you would like to find out more about confirmation, or contact the chaplain
If you are already on the rota for welcoming, reading or leading intercessions, the sign up sheet is available here.
We need people to welcome, read and lead the intercessions at our services.
if you are currently not on the rotas, and would like to be on the rota, please email Giles
GIVING TO ST ANDREW'S
THANK YOU very much to those who have given via yandex or in other ways.
At the moment we have no income coming in from concerts or events, and are dependent for everything on your donations. You can give on Sundays, or via the chaplain, or direct at https://moscowanglican.org/roubles/
If you would like to give through Yandex on our website, you will need to fill in the form on the first page, stating how much you would like to give, your phone number, name (if you wish), citizenship, email address, and then say what you would like the donation to be used for. Please do write in English or Russian that it is a Donation and that VAT does not apply. You can copy and paste the Russian words in quotation marks if you wish.
The only boxes that you need to fill in are the amount you would like to give, your telephone number, and we would ask you to state that this is a donation and that VAT does not apply.
You then press the last button and will be taken to the Yandex payment page.
This is what the Yandex payment page looks like. In this example, the donor has said above that they would like to give 1000 roubles. You can either pay by bank card, yandex money or even via Sperbank telephone.
Please note that Yandex take a commission of 2.8%, so if you are giving a large sum, do get in touch with us to see if there are other ways of donating.

PRAYER THIS WEEK
The special prayer for this week
Lord of creation,
whose glory is around and within us:
open our eyes to your wonders,
that we may serve you with reverence
and know your peace at our lives’ end,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- Give thanks to Olga Fabrikanta-Burke who is ordained this weekend to become chaplain of Trinity College Cambridge. Pray for her and her ministry. Pray too for Simeon.
- We give thanks to God for the birth of Anna to Ben and Tatiania. Also for the birth of Juno to Ksenia and Roman
- Pray for our new confirmation group, and for those wanting to find out more about how they can grow in their Christian faith.
- Continue to pray for those in need: for Evgeny, Iggy, a small child in hospital with seizures and Stas (a child in hospital). Give thanks for Ann Farmer's succesful operation.
- We commend into God's hands those who have died: remembering Barry Collett and Michael Barry. Pray for their family and friends: especially Pauline and Olga, and Michael's family in the UK.
