Looking forward to an inspiring 2020

It's been an exciting start to the new year with many inspiring opportunities to build bridges to work toward a regenerative Sonoma County. We hope you can join us at the events below where you'll be able to speak in support of a pesticide-free Sonoma coastlearn why the most beautiful lawns are organic, and make a toast to Mother Earth. Here's to the new year!

Call to Action: Show up on THURSDAY to support of a pesticide-free Local Coastal Plan for Sonoma County

We need people to show up and speak out in favor of using our Sonoma County Local Coastal Plan (LCP) as a vehicle to better protect wildlife and natural resources along our coastline. Los Angeles County and more recently, the City of Malibu, have successfully used their LCPs to ban synthetic pesticides (herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and rodenticides) on public and private lands. It would be particularly meaningful to stop the use of lethal rodenticides in Sonoma County coastal areas as they are having large negative impacts on our raptors and other wild carnivores.

In search of Organic Alternatives?

Check out Non Toxic Neighborhood's Preferred Product List for the best nontoxic pest control products on the market; all independently tested and verified for effectiveness AND Organic Materials Research Institute (OMRI) certification. Be wary of weed/pest control products listed only as "natural" or "chemical free" as many of these products contain very toxic ingredients. All of our Sonoma County partners are encouraged to rely on Non Toxic Neighborhood's Preferred Product List when transitioning to toxic-free landscaping. Thanks NTN!
