Dear <<First Name>>,
We know you’re looking for ways to keep occupied, whether for yourself and/or your family, or for ways to keep connected with your clients while inspiring them about future travel to Africa (we are, too!).
From Boulder, Colorado with Love & Popcorn
If you go to IMDB.com and search “Africa” and “Based on True Story” (BOTS) 60+ titles are listed. Use this newfound time indoors to learn more about every country on the continent, the history and historical characters who created it, and what is waiting for your return. We also have a few suggestions for documentaries, animation, and comedy as well that you won’t find on IMDB. What you see below in our signatures are the suggestions from our partners or ones we found on their behalf, not necessarily filmed on or about their properties. And as soon as we can gather together again we'll look forward to welcoming locals and visitors alike for more private screenings at our condo's movie theater in the pic above.
On a somewhat related note, when searching for movies filmed in or about Ethiopia, “Samsara” came up, which I forgot had scenes in Ethiopia and which is the sequel to “Baraka” … two visually stunning silent films that connect us to humanity and the planet in very different ways. They are like watching moving meditations and most likely very soothing for the soul right now.
Also, if you haven’t seen Brooke’s social posts … we’re running weekly contests for you, or for you to use with your clients (share, tag, repost, cut/paste, whatever … everything we do, we do for YOU!). These are just light, quick ways to engage with Africa, and weekly winners will receive little packages of love from us. Our Tuesday “Creative Coloring Challenge” is in its second week and you still have two days to send in your answers before Fri Mar 27 for the first “Movie Scene Search” which focuses on Nomad Tanzania. The easiest way to get the details on all of this is to go to Brooke’s Facebook page.
