Update from the board

Dear members,

This month we have been busy working hard to find a new board and make sure the transition will be smooth. It is not too late to apply yet, so send us your application before April 22nd! One last information evening will be held on the 8th of April. For more details see the event overview below.

We are also super excited to embark on the Study Trip to Morocco soon. We have met the group and can't wait to spend a week exploring a new culture and enjoy the sun down south.

Furthermore, we are super excited for our last months as board of CS Ubuntu, and lots of exciting things are being organised! Keep posted to learn about all the upcoming events!

The boardroom will be closed between 8 April and the 23rd of April due to the university break, the big study trip and Easter. Come by the room this week to get your last shot of Ubuntu happiness (in a cup) before the break!

Best wishes,
On behalf of the board,

Julie Koehorst
CS Ubuntu President

Recap of Last Month's Events

6 March: Monthly Drinks

This month's monthly drinks were cosy at our local cafe, as usual!

7 March: Board info evening I

On this evening we provided the interested people with more information about the board year at CS Ubuntu, in which we spoke about what it means to be on a board in general, and added some personal experiences for each of the positions.

13 March: Ubuntu du Boules
The new jeu de boules bar proved to be lots of fun as for a very good price we enjoyed a few rounds of the famous french game whilst being in good company.

25 March: General Assembly II
The second General Assembly of this year was incredibly useful for both the board and the members. After presenting what has been going on behind the screen and the committee updates, we got great input from our members on important matters such as member-participation and social media.

27 March: Board Games
At the board games we had a great time, although a new location had to be found last minute, this didn't spoil the fun of playing some games and drinking some craft beers.
