Al Fresco Dinner at Virtue Cider

Four Chefs, One Farmer and a lot of hard cider

Sunday July 24 5:00 - 9:00 PM

Join the Chicago Women's Brigade for a summer grill out and reception at Virtue Cider (2170 62nd Street, Fennville, MI) to celebrate the contributions that women are making to Chicago's food community.

Pork and produce will be sourced from Virtue Cider and neighboring farms. Dinner will be prepared by Melissa Corey of Virtue Cider, Abra Berens of Stock café, Sarah Rinkavage of Lula Cafe and Sandra Holl of Floriole Bakery.

The reception begins at 5:00 pm and dinner will follow at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $75 per person and include dinner, drink pairings, tax and gratuity. Proceeds benefit Faith's Farm which specializes in small scale animal production. Reservations required.

Cook a Whole Meal on the Grill

Saturday July 23 1:30 - 3:00 PM

  • Learn how to prepare a whole summer meal on the grill: main course, starter, side and dessert.
  • Learn how to use both charcoal and gas grills.
  • Taste what Rob makes.

This class will be held in Local Foods' parking lot. In the event of rain, the class will be moved to Sunday July 24 1:30 - 3:00 PM. The $45 registration includes the demo and tasting.
