Message from the President:

Happy New Year to All!

I would like to introduce the PTSA's mission, which is to make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.  The priority for MVHS - PTSA is to provide the best support to our students, parents and staff community. We need your help by joining PTSA to support our goals. This year, our membership has been very low when compared to previous years.

But, you can help! Join PTSA and help fund the many programs we run that benefit our students and the school throughout the year!

Sign up for the MVHS PTSA here!

In addition, please join us for a Coffee with FUHSD Superintendent Polly Bove, along with MVHS's Principal, Ben Clausnitzer on January 17 at 9:00 am in the Staff Lounge. This is a great opportunity to meet the leadership team to ask questions and share your thoughts.

Lastly, on Tuesday, Jan 29th, we are having the MVHS PTSA Association meeting in the MVHS Library. This is a great opportunity to get to know our PTSA and interact with PTSA leaders.

Have a great 2019!

Satheesh Madhathil
PTSA President

Challenge Day is THURSDAY, January 31, 2019.

We are in need of Adult volunteers for Challenge Day. Some who signed up had to drop out. It is an all day commitment from 7:15am to 3pm. Lunch is provided. It is in the MVHS Gym.

If you are interested, please email

Ask anyone who has been to Challenge Day and he or she will try to describe the experience. People say they had a lot of fun, it opened their eyes, they cried, they saw others in a new light or felt more connected and alive. They'll say that they want to go again. But it is hard to describe an experience. Experience Challenge Day for yourself. Greatly increase your social/emotional IQ in one day on your road to greater happiness.

Check it out on the website or here for more information.

Challenge Day is held in the gym.  It is free and lunch is provided. Everyone (students, teachers, parents, staff)  is welcome to register. Space is limited, so register early. If you attended Challenge Day before, you are eligible to be a Teen Leader. If this is you, write "Teen Leader" at the top of your Permission Slip. Students need to turn in a completed Permission Slip to Richard Prinz, Student Advocate. You can put the Slip in Richard's mailbox in the Main Office or his office is Room D204.
