The true Progressive.
The Revenge of the Progs
October 25, 2014

My son, fear the Lord and the king,
do not associate with those given to change.” Proverbs 24:21

By Riley J. Hood-CPoW State Chairman

On July 16th, 2014 I attended a meeting at the Greenfield Public Library in Greenfield, Wisconsin. One of the speakers was Jay Heck, from the “non-partisan” advocacy organization, Common Cause. Listening to Mr. Heck, I noticed that he sounded like a “Prog,” by that I mean a lefty who is so far gone, he thinks his opinions are “impartial,” “fair,” and “non-partisan.”
When I read his newsletters, he wrote things such as, “I don't have to tell you how far Wisconsin has fallen over the past four years-from being a state where progressive political reform was beginning to germinate and grow again...” Mr. Heck is more of a Progressive than Teddy Roosevelt and Bob LaFollette ever were.
The Progressives, after not achieving instant electoral success as a Party, decided that all Political Parties were bad, and wanted to eliminate Party Politics from American Political life, styling themselves as “non-partisan.” Never mind, that the US Constitution and our Wisconsin State Constitution are both a system of checks and balances; written so that faction was to be pitted against faction and that would keep the Government from becoming a tyrannical instrument of the majority.
Common Cause is also against voter ID. After all, if we have a government of administrators, by administrators and for administrators; then who cares if a fraud votes “early and often,” because Common Cause wants elections that decide nothing, in their Progressive Utopia.
Take the Government Accountability Board (GAB), the latest major achievement of Common Cause. The Wisconsin Supreme Court picks a pool of five or six retired judges, the Governor picks from the pool, and the Legislature ratifies these picks. The bureaucrats are answerable to the board.” The GAB is insulated from being de-funded because it has a “dedicated funding source,” according to Heck.  So much for “No taxation without representation.”
At the Constitution Party of Wisconsin (CPoW), we believe that this State's Constitutional Officers should be elected by the People. We oppose the transferring of their duties to appointed boards, such as GAB. The Secretary of State used to certify elections, and oversee an Election Commission. Now, Wisconsin has GAB, which answers to no-one, and the Progressives wish to ruin every other State in the Union, as they have ruined Wisconsin.
On November 4th, send a message to the big politicians and vote for Jerry Broitzman for Secretary of State and Andrew Zuelke for State Treasurer. It won't solve everything, but it will let the powers that be take notice that elected officials are in place to serve the people and not the other way around. CPoW is working for a State Government that is fit for Wisconsin, USA, and not a government of administrator's that smacks of the Prussian Empire.
