Put your money where your mouth is.

CPoW! You Can't Beat Us for Value

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
Who, when he had found one pearl of great price,
went and sold all that he had, and bought it.” Matthew 13:45-46
By Riley J. Hood-CPoW State Chairman
What is something worth? Karl Marx once stated that worth or value is the cost of production, namely materials, energy and labor. Marx was a coffee-house charity case and he confused cost with value. In regular economics, worth or value is determined by the amount of money someone is willing to pay for something.
For example, most Christians say they are for Biblical morality, but what price will most Christians pay to stand for Biblical morality? It must be less than $20.00 a year, because almost every time I ask a Christian to become a party member ($30.00/year) or a Friend of the Party ($20.00/year), I get hot air, hostility and excuses, but nothing that translates into real support. The Constitution Party of Wisconsin (CPoW pronounced Ca-POW) is always Christian, always 100% Pro-Life and always Pro-Family. To pay $20.00 per year to support our kind of consistency is a great value. We recognize that good government is not on par as salvation in Jesus Christ, so we don't ask for high prices.  The $20.00 is to offset postage costs and to help support Party efforts.
Most trips to the movie theater cost about $20.00 and if you value cheap entertainment over the welfare of your country, then problem isn't just the full frontal assault of the Democrat, the problem is the bad behavior of the undisciplined troops who are supposedly on our side. Here are some of the excuses I have been handed:
  • “I can't join because I'm broke,” this was handed to me by a man who said he spent $500,000 in a GOP Congressional primary, but he can't come up with $30.00 a year for CPoW.
  • I have had an Iraqi War veteran, at least he said as much, who wanted to run for Senate, but couldn't abide the annual membership.
  • In the 2014 governor's race, I had to run a negative campaign against a write-in candidate who wasn't endorsed by CPoW, and was in fact a liberal interloper. He couldn't abide the membership dues either, that was my first hint that this man was a problem. (He was held to six votes.)
  • I had Pastor call me, and said he was joining, and his church would be joining as well. I sent him a large amount of literature through the mail. Nothing materialized. When I called him back, he said he hadn't gotten around to it, because, “The rapture was coming soon, and he needed to get more people saved.”
After four years of sometimes theological, but mostly heathen excuses, I say put your money where your mouth is. I'm amazed at how membership separates the wheat from the chaff, and from my viewpoint, Wisconsin has plenty of chaff.  Even worse is the fact that Christians don't have their values in order. I have been handed more false promises by more people than I care to remember, and they all stink. CPoW has been around since 1991, we certainly aren't “the flavor of the day,” but we are “salt and light,” and that is certainly worthy of your support.
