Study Question 1

  • In this dictation, what is the purpose of Victory’s coming? (p. 94)
  • What counsel did he give to assist us to fulfill his purpose for coming? (p. 94)

Study Question 2

  • What importance does Victory place on co-measurement? (p. 94)

Study Question 3

  • Why does Victory bring us the teaching on the sense of struggle? (p. 95)
  • What blessing do we receive when we cease to struggle? (p. 95)

Study Question 4

  • Victory introduces his message on the mystery of surrender by stating, “When a consecrated life is reached and surrender is born in the consciousness, one no longer desires to direct the flow of the life energies.” (p. 95)
  • After reading and listening to Victory’s teachings on this subject, record in your Victory Journal your response to the question, “What is the mystery of surrender?” Try to formulate it in your own words.

Study Question 5

  • Beloved Victory highlights several Biblical events to demonstrate surrender to the Will of God. In what ways did these events help you to understand the mystery of surrender? (pp. 95-100)
  • What Christ like qualities are expressed in each of the events?
  • Select one or two lessons you learned from these events and focus on applying them in the coming week to assist you in the process of surrender.

Study Question 6

  • On page 97 the master speaks of his contradictory comments regarding the sense of struggle and putting forth great effort for the victory. After telling us not be confused, he asks, “Why do I say at one moment that you must cease to struggle and at another that you must put forth the effort?” (p. 97)
  • How does Victory justify this seemingly contradiction?

Study Question 7

  • At the conclusion of the master’s comments on the meeting in the Grand Teton Retreat for the endowment of man and the endowment of the youth he counsels us, “If individuals would struggle for their spiritual attainment as they struggle for mortal bread and for status before men, their victory would be won quite soon.” (p.98)
  • What import does this statement have for you in the context of a current test or challenge that may be at your doorstep?

Study Question 8

  • What state of consciousness allowed Jesus to pass his initiation when Satan tempted him after the 40 days in the wilderness? (p. 98)

Study Question 9

  • Victory states, “We are not concerned with a sense of struggle over doctrines and tenets.” (pp. 100-101)
  • What is the master’s concern for us?

Study Question 10

  • Please describe Victory’s dispensation, “A Golden Ball of Victory.” (pp. 101-102)
  • Why did he release this dispensation? (pp. 101-102)

Study Question 11

  • Continuing with his message, Victory tells us, “So great is the karma-making apparatus upon this planet for most of the lifestreams embodied here that we find it necessary to enter plea before the Karmic Board again and again for a condition we call “hold in abeyance.” Then he adds the teaching, “Vengeance is mine. I will repay, saith the Lord.” (pp. 102-103)
  • What is the meaning of these two teachings in the context of the Law of Karma?
  • In what ways are these conditions expressions of God’s mercy?

Study Question 12

  • The Great White Brotherhood may exercise the “power of cosmic veto.” What is the “power of cosmic veto” in the framework of one’s karma?” Under what condition may this “power of veto” be used and what limitation does it adhere to? (p. 103)

Study Question 13

  • Victory speaks about deductive or inductive reasoning and the reasoning of the soul. What is the difference between these types of reasonings? (pp.104-106)

Study Question 14

  • Victory asks, “Will you accept the flame of victory I bring?” and “Will you utilize it in your daily living from now on?” Given that you answered “yes” to his questions, in the coming week spend some time at your altar with the master, praying and talking to him. (p. 106)
  • Then review the circumstances in your life and draft 2-3 ways to begin using the flame of victory in a specific area in your life.

Study Question 15

  • The master tells us that The Summit Lighthouse is not an ordinary activity; then he clearly states its purpose. What did he say was the real purpose of The Summit Lighthouse? (pp. 106-108)
