Are you in the midst of making summer plans? We are! We are SUPER excited to be teaming up with Summer Performing Arts (SPA) to be piloting a program that will take place at Winship Elementary School. The details are still not all worked out, but we are looking to have a performance to share with you onSaturday, June 15th during World Refugee Day at a new venue: Lyon's Auto on 4th--downtown across from City Hall (210 North 4th Street).
It's an impressive team of people coming together with a common mission: providing opportunities for children in our community. Global Friends takes its mission of fostering refugee integration seriously and this summer's programs supporting youth do just that. With your support, children from diverse cultural backgrounds will be able to participate in fun summer activities like SPA and art camp at the North Dakota Museum of Art.
Our Global Friends Coalition's Youth Liaisons are also excited to be performing on World Refugee Day and they are creating some new activities for everyone to enjoy. We can't wait to find out what they come up with.
We need support to put on events like World Refugee Day. You can ensure that New American children are able to participate. Visit our website and contribute now!
If you prefer to give by check, write it to Global Friends Coalition; in the memo line indicate 'youth' or 'World Refugee Day.' The Global Friends office is located in the US Bank Building at 600 Demers Avenue; Suite 406A, Grand Forks, ND 58201.
