Containing Contagion!

Greetings, Friends of Knappton Cove! We are just beginning our planning for the upcoming season, but wanted to alert you to some great media coverage in the local papers. With the outbreak of the Coronavirus,we have seen considerable attention to the practice of Quarantine. Barbara Lloyd McMichael, reporting for the Astorian's Coast Weekend, was asked to do an in-depth report on the history of Quarantine in this region. She interviewed Nancy Bell Anderson on site, so you will see a few current pictures. Be sure to scroll through all 4 photos so you don't miss seeing one of the psychological tests at the museum (thanks to Board Member, Darren Linker). You can read the article here.

The article also appears in the Chinook Observer. Thanks to Barbara for such a timely report and our local news sources for the coverage!

An article in the Oregonian in 1921 states "the importance of this [Station's] work cannot be over-estimated."
