Quarantine Station in Quarantine!
Greetings, Friends of Knappton Cove. We have been following the news as we all try to plan our summer activities. Like all good mariners, to reach our port is the point BUT unexpected forces of Nature have required us to change our course so we can arrive safely.
In accordance with current health and safety guidelines we will be closed for the 2020 season. As we work to fulfill our mission of preserving the Quarantine Hospital and interpreting the layers of history here, our relevance seems as important as ever. While we will miss seeing you this summer, we are busy at work with several projects.
- Outdoor Interpretive Signs
- Online Exhibit
- Comprehensive List of Ships Detained at the Station
- Transcription of the Station Log
- Website Resources Updates
- Artifact Collection Catalog
- Grounds Maintenance
Our research continues to "fill in the blanks" with pictures and records relating to activity at the Station. As we find new stories, we work on new exhibit ideas. We are expanding our parking area and will be so excited to put it to use when we can safely open to the public. Be sure to glance up at the Station if you happen to be driving past!
We are very grateful for your continued support during these tumultuous times and shall keep you updated on our progress. We look forward to opening again for the 2021 summer season.
