The committee will hear, and likely pass, a substitute bill (amendment) for HB 327.
There is NO scheduled testimony for the bill.

GERRYMANDERING

State Board of Education
•
On February 1, Governor DeWine released new districts for the State Board of Education that were a blatant attempt to gerrymander public education and silence State Board members who want an honest high-quality education for every Ohio student.
These new boundaries were continued retribution for State Board members who voted against repealing the July 2020 Resolution to Condemn Racism and Advance Equity.
In Ohio’s redistricting battle, Gov. DeWine will have another chance to draw more fair State Board maps when leaders pass constitutional legislative maps. The deadline set by the Ohio Supreme Court is February 17.
