Gallery Receives Major Gift of Art from the Friday Foundation

The Gallery has received an extraordinary gift of six paintings and drawings by Franz Kline and Mark Rothko that honors the legacy of the late Seattle philanthropists Jane Lang Davis and Richard E. Lang. With this gift, the Gallery’s holdings of Kline’s and Rothko’s works have broadened significantly and now provide a more nuanced view of the artists’ styles, techniques, and overlapping interests.
