Sowing Seeds - the positive effects of community gardens

NCDFREE Film Launch: Sowing Seeds

Following our film launch earlier this month, NCDFREE are proud to present our latest film 'Sowing Seeds'. Set in the beautiful Werribee Park Community Garden, lays a veggie patch run by Karen refugees - survivors of the long-running civil war in Burma.

This short film describes how their engagement in this community garden is improving their health and wellbeing, whilst teaching gardening skills and more.

To celebrate the release of the film, NCDFREE are hosting a special film launch in the gardens and will include a panel discussion with NCDFREE, Parks Vic, AMES Australia, Karen and local community members. Visitors are also invited to join a farm tour, followed by something fresh to eat from the garden.

For those unable to join us, you can watch the full film here.

Finally, after the success of our first event in Scandinavia, we are delighted to announce we are bringing our Bootcamp to Copenhagen on October the 23rd & 24th.
