Moreton Bay Arts Council April 2016

We are well into Autumn and what great art and music we can look forward to this month. How wonderful to have it all so close to hand.

I will be on holiday though, travelling through Europe, on a mystery tour of Peter's devising, not involving Russia as i first thought. But maybe Hungary? You will hear all about it when I get back.

In the meantime, I know you are in good hands with Tad, John, and Beverley at the helm and do give them your support at our next monthly meeting, coming up on Thursday, 14th April at 6.30 pm at the Old Fire Station, Redcliffe. Let Beverley know if you have any matters you'd like added to the Agenda.

Don't forget that our Handmade Meets the Arts is coming up fast on Saturday 2nd July. That's only three months away! It was a very successful day last year, so if you'd like to be involved, start preparing now.

I'll look forward to hearing all about your news, work and art when I get back.

Kind regards

Janice Charlish

Great Tips for Creatives

Reference Photographs

Do not use a flash when taking your photographs for reference in painting and drawing - The flash flattens your subject with direct front light and removes subject form modelling making it appear very flat and washed out.
Use 3/4 side lighting to light your subject and this will create good shading and modelling.
