"We thank the Redcliffe Art Society and the Moreton Bay Regional Council for the opportunity to rent space on level 1 of the Old Fire Station Building. Unfortunately the small space does not allow Moreton Bay Arts Council to perform our work for and with the community."

We had a meeting with the Moreton Bay Regional Council on 25th July to highlight the need for a larger space. We proposed that the Moreton Bay Arts Council manage the hire of the Volunteer Community Hub at the old Redcliffe Fire Station, ground level, 395 Oxley Ave, Redcliffe 4020. We proposed taking bookings as is currently, "with MBRC's policy to hire out the Volunteer Hub to volunteer based community groups". Also we proposed activating this space to its full potential: a meeting place, a welcoming destination for the community, volunteers and visitors.

If the Council prefers to continue managing the facility, then we ask any MBAC members, friends or supporters who are aware of a venue available for 2017 to please contact me.
