Welcome to MBAC June News

There is movement at the Station - The Old Redcliffe Fire Station
Moreton Bay Arts Council is  moving from the 8x4 room on level 1.

We are on the lookout for a larger space to support our members' activities and community projects for 2017 and into the future.

Come to the general meeting Thursday 9th June at 6.30 pm at the Fire Station level 1, 395 Oxley Ave, Redcliffe.

Things to do this month

Samford Art and Studio Trails commence every Saturday and Sunday in June. A great day out - not to be missed! Download Trail Program here

Visit Stage Door Gallery ”Birds Eye View” Exhibition currently on show & meet the artist Natalia Balo - book signing and music, Saturday 11th June 10.30 to 12.00.

Remember to support the local shows - entries for the Art and Craft Redcliffe Show are now closed, but you can still get your entries in for:
Samford Show - 9th, 10th July, Art and Craft section - $3.00 per entry and entries close 7th July.
Pine Rivers Show - 29th, 30th, 31st July  Art and Craft section- $4.00 per entry and entries close 15th July.

MBAC supplies the Judges for 3 shows in the Region.

Time is running out for….

Only $15 for a table to show and sell your art or craft - or $25 for a tent at Handmade Meets the Arts Market Day – Saturday 2nd July bookings close 17th June. Download application form here...

Members Exhibition - only $10 for up to 4 paintings at the Stage Door Gallery.   Applications close 26th June. Download Registration form here...

Artist Profile of the Month

Lisa Ashcroft was born in Lancashire, England and attended Cyprus College of Art and the School of the Fine Arts, New York. She currently has a studio at home in Queensland, where she is developing her art practice. Lisa has paintings in private collections in the UK, Cyprus, America, Japan and Spain.
