A Special Offer for a Loved One
Welcome to our Summer/Christmas Newsletter

A big thank you for your continued support of the services at TBC. It is great to be a small part of your lives and a big part of your personal healthcare plan.

To thank you for your support, we have a VERY SPECIAL OFFER for  our loyal customers' family members or friends. Refer anyone special to you who you feel could benefit most from chiropractic care and they will receive their first visit for assessment and examination, and x-rays if indicated, for $70.

This very special offer is part of celebrating our new x-ray machine. We offered this promotion at the Home and Garden Show and the Chiropractic Assistants recommended that we should be also doing something special for our lovely regular and supportive clients... SOOO after a long pause and before any Dutch jokes started, Corrian agreed
and we have decided to extend the offer to referrals from our current clients! (NB Corrian is usually the leader of the Dutch jokes!!)

When they ring to book, be sure to ask them to mention your name and that they are one of the lucky referrals that you have chosen . They must book by 14 December to qualify for the offer.

Thanks too for all of your referrals throughout the year. We love meeting new people who have joined TBC to further their functional healthcare goals and enjoying seeing those who choose to continue supporting their wellbeing after an extended break from care. Welcome to you all and we look forward to getting to know you over the coming months. Enjoy your Summer!

Warm regards

Tasman Bay Chiropractic – X-Ray Update

Josh Markovic from Anode Imaging, Los Angeles, was at our centre in September installing our new digital X-ray capture equipment. The state of the art equipment has been a valuable and exciting upgrade to our diagnostic capabilities. The quality of the images it captures has surprised both Dan and I making our job much easier and the certainty of the correct image being gained the first time assured. The upshot of this is less X-ray exposure and better clinical outcomes.
Josh, is that (3 boxes) all you get for the price of a new family car? It had better work!
At the end of my shift last Friday a patient of TBC came in asking for an X-ray of her ankle after a severe eversion (rolling) injury which she hoped to be a sprain. The urgency was due to her pending flight (1hour) to Auckland with her family to experience Fleetwood Mac.  The instant digital image highlighted a serious fracture, a copy was made to disc and this was to be taken to the Emergency Department.

Fatigue

The Collins dictionary defines fatigue as: Extreme physical or mental tiredness.

My definition is getting up 1 - 5 times a night to a teething toddler, then being up for the day anywhere from 5.30am with an energetic child whose batteries are on full charge pretty much all day. I felt rough!

Daf's Wee Christmas Gifts

It was such a success last year that this year I am making them again - the gorgeous wee gifts made up from  local sourced products from Tui Balm in Golden Bay and Global Soap in Nelson.

To treat yourself or your loved ones!

Each of the gifts will have a different scent, be for a different purpose and/or to meet a different need eg for relaxation, for mum and baby, for Christmas or for bugs, just to name a few.

Please come and see Mel, Victoria or Lynley to purchase them or ask any questions. If you have a special request, I am very happy to arrange one just for you.

I wish for you all to enjoy your Christmas in whichever way it presents itself and let it be filled with love, joy and peace.

❤️Daf

Summer Tip: Going camping or in to the bush? Try the Bug Balm as an all-natural way to keep the bugs away and to help heal already-bitten areas.

Easy Christmas Cake

  • 1 kg of mixed fruit
  • 2 raised cups of self raising flour
  • 2 cups orange juice
Mix fruit and flour in a large mixing bowl. Add orange juice and mix until combined. Pour mixture in to a lined 8 inch cake tin and bake at 150'C-160'C for 1.5-2 hours.

Have a Happy Christmas!

Headaches, Teeth Grinding and Night Terrors!

Many people may be surprised to discover that chiropractic care can help bring about amazing changes in how our body functions and responds to stresses loaded on our bodies, even from a young age.

In some cases, like the child in this story, the problem may not show up in symptoms such as back pain. It might be something that you as a parent may not even attribute to a spinal or nervous system issue and have no idea how to deal with, like the parents in this story.

The following is a summary of a fascinating case report I have written which has recently been accepted for international professional publication. As Tasman Bay Chiropractic readers, I get to tell you about it here first!!

Library

Did you know that the books on the shelf in reception are available for borrowing?

We are delighted to offer a selection of literature that works in harmony with and supports the key healthcare objectives of Tasman Bay Chiropractic.

You are very welcome to browse through and select a book or DVD for loan. We charge a small fee of $5.00 that will contribute to the care of and expansion of our library to maintain it as an ongoing resource available to you.

If you have a book or DVD on loan that you are finished with, please bring it back in so that it is available for others to borrow.
The team at TBC wishes you all a very Merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year!
